Privacy Policy — TCG Bundle

TCG Bundle is a browser extension that helps you buy a list of trading cards on cardmarket.com for less, by combining sellers and including shipping costs. This policy explains what the extension and the TCG Bundle service do with your data.

The short version

• Your card list and the Cardmarket offers you view stay on your computer.
• TCG Bundle only opens Cardmarket pages or clicks "show more results" when you ask it to (automatic price fetching), and it does that in a separate background window. It puts items in your cart when you click "Put everything in my cart", and, to see what a seller really charges for shipping, it briefly puts one cheap card in your cart and removes it again (shipping check). It never checks out.
• To see which sellers a buying plan uses (and order from them) you need a free TCG Bundle account. Your email address is handled by our authentication provider, Clerk.
• Our server stores your account ID, your plan and, per buying plan you unlock, only totals (number of cards and sellers, amounts, estimated saving).
• We do not sell data, show ads or use third-party analytics or tracking.

Stored on your computer

In chrome.storage.local: the cards you are looking for and your requirements, the seller offers visible on Cardmarket product pages you opened yourself (seller name, country, price, condition, language, stock, number of sales, seller rating, estimated delivery time and the seller's offer description), your buying plan, check-off state and skipped offers, your budget, what we learned about a seller's shipping costs from your own cart, your filter and language settings, and your sign-in session.

Account data (Clerk)

When you create an account or sign in, your email address, your password and one-time email codes are processed by Clerk, Inc. (United States), which provides sign-in and sessions for TCG Bundle. TCG Bundle never sees or stores your password. See Clerk's privacy policy for details.

Stored by TCG Bundle (our server)

Hosted on Railway in the EU:

• Your Clerk user ID, when your account was created and last used, and whether you joined during the beta.
• Your plan and access rights (for example Beta Pro), with start and end dates.
• For each buying plan you unlock: the number of cards, copies and sellers, the total before and after optimisation, the estimated saving, and the extension version. No card names, seller names, prices of individual offers or URLs.
• If paid plans are introduced later: your Stripe customer ID and purchases. Payment details are handled by Stripe, never by TCG Bundle.

We use this to provide access, to prevent abuse and to understand (in aggregate) how much TCG Bundle saves its users.

What TCG Bundle reads on Cardmarket

When a card's product page is open, TCG Bundle reads the offer table already displayed on that page: price, condition, seller name, country, number of sales, seller rating, estimated delivery time and the seller's short offer description (shown to you, and used to skip graded cards if you keep that filter on). This stays on your computer. When you open an offer from your buying plan, TCG Bundle temporarily outlines that offer on the page. When you click a card link in the panel while a Cardmarket card page is open, that page opens in the same tab instead of a new one. If the page has more offers to load, TCG Bundle outlines Cardmarket's own "show more results" button.

Automatic price fetching (only when you ask)

• Automatic fetching. When you click "Fetch new prices" in the panel (or when filling your cart shows that an offer has been sold), TCG Bundle opens the cards on your list one by one, clicks Cardmarket's "show more results" button until all offers are loaded, and reads them as described above, at a calm pace. This happens in a separate, minimised browser window, so the pages do not take over the tab you are using; the panel shows a loading screen with an estimate. You can stop at any time. If Cardmarket asks for a check or you are signed out, that window comes to the front so you can finish it yourself.

• It only opens the card pages on your list and only clicks "show more results". It never signs in, never adds items to your cart (except with "Put everything in my cart", below), never buys anything and sends nothing to Cardmarket beyond loading those pages in your own browser. What it reads stays on your computer.

Completing a set

"Complete a set" is not yet available in the Chrome Web Store version. When it is and you use it, the extension downloads the list of cards in that set (names, numbers and Cardmarket page addresses) from the TCG Bundle server. No personal data is sent for this. Your choices (which cards you own, condition, language) stay on your computer. While you work through the set, TCG Bundle shows a small bar on the card pages you open with your progress and a normal link to the next card; you click it yourself, or you let TCG Bundle fetch all cards automatically (see above).

Cart check

When you open your Cardmarket shopping cart yourself, TCG Bundle reads the per-seller summary shown there (article value, shipping, Trustee Service, total and shipping method) to compare it with your buying plan. It never reads or stores your shipping address, phone number or payment details. Apart from "Put everything in my cart" and the shipping check (both below), it never changes your cart. The result stays on your computer.

Shipping check (before your advice)

Cardmarket only shows what a seller really charges for shipping once something of theirs is in your cart. So when you ask for advice, TCG Bundle checks this for sellers it does not know yet: in a separate, minimised window it opens the card page of one cheap card from your plan, puts that single card in your cart, reads the shipping cost, method and whether it is tracked from the cart page, and then removes that card from your cart again. It does this at most once per seller and remembers the result on your computer, so a seller is only checked once; what it learns is used for your next advice. It never checks out, never pays and never touches anything else in your cart. Nothing about this is sent to the TCG Bundle server. If a card is left behind (for example because Cardmarket asked for a check halfway), the panel tells you which seller, so you can remove it yourself.

Putting everything in your cart

Only when you click "Put everything in my cart" in the order screen, TCG Bundle opens the card pages of your buying plan one by one in a separate, minimised browser window and clicks the cart button of exactly the offers in that plan (by article number), with the quantity from the plan. To confirm each step it reads the cart summary in the Cardmarket header, and afterwards it opens your cart for the comparison described above and brings that window to the front so you can check it. It never checks out, never pays, never changes your address and never removes items from your cart, except the single card of a shipping check (above). Nothing is sent to the TCG Bundle server for this.

Reports ("Klopt er iets niet?")

If you report a problem, TCG Bundle sends your chosen reason, your short explanation (max. 300 characters) and the amounts and shipping methods per seller from your buying plan (and from your cart check, if available) to TCG Bundle. If you are logged in, the report is linked to your account ID; reporting without an account is possible too, and then the report is stored without any link to a person. It never includes your address or payment details. Reports are used to fix errors and improve accuracy; if you delete your account, reports are kept without any link to you.

Card images

For Pokémon cards, TCG Bundle shows a reference image of the card, loaded from TCGdex (assets.tcgdex.net). Loading an image means TCGdex receives a normal image request from your browser (such as your IP address and which card image is requested). The image only helps you recognise the card; it does not show the condition of an offer.

Permissions

• storage — to keep your list, plan and session on your computer.
• sidePanel — to show the TCG Bundle panel next to Cardmarket.
• cardmarket.com card pages and shopping cart — to read the offer table, outline the offer you open and compare your cart with your plan. It runs on no other pages.
• TCG Bundle API and Clerk — to sign in and unlock buying plans.

Retention and deletion

• Local data: remove cards from your list, start a new list after ordering, or remove the extension to delete everything stored in your browser.
• Your account: Settings → Delete account permanently deletes your account at Clerk (email address, password, sessions) and your plan and credit records at TCG Bundle. Unlock totals and reports are kept without any link to you, as anonymous statistics.

You can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, and you can lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in the Netherlands: the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). Contact us at the address below.
